On August 13, 2024, at 6:00 PM, the monthly meeting of the Clayton Public Library was called to order by President Janet Rigg

Suzanna Ryssman

President Janet Rigg opened the meeting. The minutes from the August 2024 meeting were read and approved, with Vanessa Davis making the motion and Angie Edison seconding it. The motion carried unanimously.

The treasurer's report was presented and approved via a roll call vote, with Suzanne Ryssman motioning and Vanessa Davis seconding.

In new business, the Quincy Public Library will visit the Clayton Public Library on October 9th to discuss our entries for the Bicentennial Book. The committee, consisting of Becky Barlow, Charlotte Krueger, and Barbara Graff, will meet with them.

Teri Kesner of Camp Point is installing a Little Golden Library box near the library and has requested book donations.

Suzanne Ryssman, seconded by Brenda Graff, moved to approve the budget for the year from July 1, June 30, to June 30, 2025, which was carried unanimously.

Samantha provided an update on the children's programs, noting strong attendance and positive engagement. The new Clayton Public Library website is set to be ready next week.

The next meeting is scheduled for October 15th at 6 PM.
